The ReSource staff team
ReSource has a small but dedicated staff team, working in different ways alongside our body of Trustees and our team of Associates and Missioners. This is what we look like…
Before becoming Director of ReSource, Martin Cavender was the Director of Springboard, the Archbishops' initiative for evangelism. He had been a trustee of ARM for 4 years, and was one of the prime movers in the Community Transformation Consultation which ARM, Springboard and SOMA hosted at Swanwick in November 2002. A former ecclesiastical lawyer, Martin is a founder member of the Archbishops’ College of Evangelists, gifted in mission and with long experience of working across the traditions of the church. He is a deeply spiritual man with a great gift of encouragement, passionate about the gospel and committed to working alongside others of all ages and backgrounds. Martin is a great networker, and ministers in partnership with an expanding team of ReSource Associates and Missioners. He is ably supported in this by his wife Cesca who brings her own gifts and sense of vocation to this work. Cesca Cavender is a member of the prayer ministry team at Harnhill Christian Healing and Retreat centre near Cirencester. She belongs to the Lydia prayer fellowship and has wide experience in prayer ministry, teaching and training. Martin and Cesca have three grown up children and a growing number of grandchildren.

Sharon Grossmann is the ReSource Administrator. Based in the office in Abingdon, Sharon writes: ‘I carry out all the administration for ReSource. My job is varied, interesting and enjoyable. Although I have only been working at ReSource for just over a year, I feel part of the small friendly team and enjoy working with staff, trustees, volunteers and supporters. I feel that the work I carry out at ReSource is highly valued and fulfilling. I attend a local Church of England church and am an enthusiastic member of a home group. I became a Christian many years ago, as I was brought up in a Christian home. However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing! I am married to John with two children – Mark who is now 15 years old and Jemma who is 12 years old. I have worked for a number of other companies in the past, starting my career at a high street bank. I have worked for many years as a secretary and later worked as an administrator. Other companies that I worked for include two major IT companies, but now I am really enjoying working for a Christian charity.’
Alison Morgan is ReSource’s thinker and writer. A linguist by background, Alison has a PhD in medieval Christian literature from Cambridge. After teaching in various universities, she was ordained in 1996. She has written three books: Dante and the Medieval Other World (CUP 1990, reprinted 2007), What Happens When We Die?, (Kingsway 1990, Chinese edition Campus Evangelical Fellowship Press 1999), and The Wild Gospel, published by Monarch as our first ReSource book in the UK in 2004, and in the USA in 2005. Alison is the editor of the Rooted in Jesus discipleship course now in wide use in Africa, and has written a number of ReSource booklets, including (with Bill Goodman) the ReSource Lent course Season of Renewal. Alison lives in Leicester with her husband Roger and their three children. She is on the staff of Holy Trinity, where Roger is incumbent, and oversees the prayer ministry of the church. Alison serves on the Council of SOMA UK, and is a member of the Archbishops' College of Evangelists. Her website is www.alisonmorgan.co.uk.
Christine Zwart is Editor of ReSource magazine. Formerly editor of The Door, the Oxford diocesan newspaper, Christine’s faith came alive when a stranger told her about Jesus. Ever since then she has been passionately committed to using her creativity to pass on the good news, and she now brings all her skills and experience to the magazine. Married to Pieter, with four grown up children and four grandchildren, Christine lives in Woodstock.

Merisa MacInnes helps with ReSource’s publicity and marketing. Merisa works with a number of organisations to support their marketing and communications and is well connected in the Christian world. She has a heart for women in developing countries from her years spent working with World Vision. She is a Trustee of SOMA UK, and has taken part in a number of missions to Africa. Merisa lives in Cheltenham with her son Angus.
