Blessed to be a Blessing

4pm Friday 10th June - 3pm Sunday 12th June 2022

£175pp - includes en-suite accommodation, meals and refreshments

To be a Christian is to follow Christ – but how many of us take time to pause and consider the shape of own particular, God-given calling?

Join ReSource for a weekend of spiritual refreshment. We’ll consider what it is to hear God’s call, how (like the Prodigal Son) we can discover our true identity in Christ, and what it is to discern where and how the Holy Spirit is calling us to be a blessing to others.

The weekend is suitable for those wishing to explore God’s purpose in their everyday lives, and those exploring a particular sense of calling, including to ordained ministry.

The retreat will include:

  • - Worship in a variety of styles
  • - The opportunity to receive prayer ministry
  • - Optional times for walking and/or craft activities

Retreat Leaders: Revd Dr Christopher Landau and Dr Alison Fleetwood

We hope that as a lay woman medical doctor, who has never felt called to priesthood, and as a onetime journalist called out of secular life into priesthood, we can together show that God calls people in all kinds of directions, lay and ordained.

Alison is a GP, medical lecturer, Healing Adviser for Carlisle Diocese and a Bishops’ vocations adviser within the Church of England. Christopher was the BBC World Service’s religious affairs correspondent, before becoming a Anglican priest – he’s now Director of ReSource, and also the author of ‘A Theology of Disagreement’.

If you are a church leader and would value talking to one of our ReSource Ministers, please let us know on office@resource-arm.net. And look out for the weekly Blog on the website, along with other new resources. Whatever these days hold, let’s be mindful of one another, alert to the cry of a hurting world, and confident in the love of God, from which nothing can separate us.
