Renewing Hope in Smaller Churches

Saturday 21st May 2022

A day of inspiration for church leaders and ministry teams.

Renewing Hope in Smaller Churches

Whether the context is urban, suburban or rural, ReSource believes that no church is too small, too overlooked, or too weary to be beyond the renewing work of the Holy Spirit. We also know that clergy and leaders working in smaller churches can easily feel under-valued, or overwhelmed.

A majority of Church of England churches gather around fifty people or fewer on a typical Sunday. This day aims to offer refreshment, encouragement and inspiration to those who minister in these smaller church contexts.

The day will include:

- Testimonies and encouragements about God’s renewing work in smaller settings

- A breadth of sung worship and approaches to prayer

- A celebration of Holy Communion with optional anointing and prayer ministry available

- Teaching from ReSource Director, Revd Dr Christopher Landau, and others

- Opportunities for group conversations with leaders in similar contexts

Parking is available close by and the venue is approximately a 10-15 minute from Telford Central railway station.

The day will focus on ministry in Anglican contexts, but anyone in Christian ministry, lay or ordained (or in ministerial training) is welcome to attend.

Cost: £10 including tea/coffee. Bring your own lunch, or buy it at one of many cafes/restaurants on our doorstep.
