A letter from the Director
Dear ReSource friend,
I am very pleased to be sending you the Autumn edition of the ReSource Newsletter, written on this occasion by the in-house team. A church leader wrote to me recently to say how helpful that they had found our Newsletters during the period of the pandemic and thanking us for all that we have done “to sustain an openness to the Spirit’s guidance” through this difficult season. We have certainly endeavored to do that, and I do hope that you find this latest Newsletter a helpful read as we continue to discern how the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives and in the Church as the pandemic begins to recede.
If reading this Newsletter prompts you to think about inviting ReSource to lead an event for your church, in-person or online, do please be in touch with us. You will also find information in the Newsletter about upcoming renewal retreats at Foxhill House, Scargill House and at Launde Abbey, all of which can be booked through our website. Jolyon Trickey also introduces our Alongside Scheme and explains how we are building a team of Companions to invest in the wellbeing of church leaders and to support them in their ministries. Please also find enclosed the ReSource Prayer Diary through to December.
This is my final mailing before I retire as Director at the end of September. I say a bit more about this in my article on page 2, but can I say here how delighted I am to be handing over to Christopher Landau and commend him to your prayers as he takes up the reins in October. Thank you for your love, encouragement, and unfailing support down the years.
This comes with love and prayer, and my very best wishes.
The Ven. Kevin Roberts
Director of ReSource
