Living Word in Carlisle is a joint churches Bible teaching event that has been held in the City of Carlisle every year since 1942, under the Keswick banner of “All One in Christ Jesus”.

ReSource at Living Word Conference, Carlisle

The vision is to bring Christians together from across the City of Carlisle and the surrounding market towns and villages for prayer, Bible teaching and worship in a series of meetings over two days each May.

ReSource Director Kevin Roberts was this year’s keynote speaker on the theme ‘Living in the Spirit: God’s transforming presence’. It was good to see people coming together from a range of churches to listen to talks on Ezekiel 47 (Prophecy), John 16 (Promise), Acts 8 (Proclamation) and Acts 2 (People), all focussing on different aspects of the Person and work of God the Holy Spirit.

Videos and audio recordings of the talks can now be found on the Living Word website at www.livingwordcarlisle.org.uk.

 Testimonial

"Each time we have a church weekend away everyone says that it was the best ever. But this one was the best! Our ReSource speakers, Garrie and Jill Griffiths, ministered to us gently and powerfully, through words and music, song and silence, inviting us to ‘Come close to God’."
