Director's Letter June 2020

Dear  ReSource friend,

I am pleased to be able to send you a copy of our Summer Newsletter, with a series of excellent articles from guest contributors, each reflecting on the coronavirus pandemic. So much has changed in these last few months and the costs have been immense for many of us. In this edition of the Newsletter we explore what the lasting impact of the current crisis may be, and ask what the Holy Spirit may be saying to the churches for their future life and mission. I hope that you enjoy the read.

Over the last three months we have been adding to our online resources. At Pentecost we were pleased to publish ‘The Empowering Spirit’, a series of six home (or Zoom) group studies on aspects of the work of the Holy Spirit. We also launched a series of eight 10 minute sermons about the Holy Spirit, for use in online acts of worship and for personal reflection, with study notes for groups. Our weekly Blogs are now well established and we will continue to add to our online resources in coming weeks, including the ‘Sanctuary Day for our Times’ introduced in the Newsletter. Do take a look at our website if you can.

I am also enclosing our Prayer Diary for July to September, once again grateful to all those who pray regularly for our ministry. Your prayer is especially appreciated as we navigate our way through this difficult current period for our travelling ministry, and listen to what God is saying to us for the future.

This mailing comes with the love and prayers of the ReSource team, and with appreciation for your ongoing friendship and partnership. Please keep well.

 Testimonial

"After lunch David felt led to pray with us all and over each of us in turn. Some of us were really aware of the Holy Spirit filling us and we were encouraged to stand and pray for each other. It was an amazing feeling being fired up and filled with the Spirit and it has made us realize how very important prayer is, for each other and the church. We now want to have regular prayer meetings and offer personal prayer to those who ask for it during or after services"
