Get to know James Lazarus
James became the Development Manager of ReSource in October 2018.
James is delighted to be joining ReSource. He has felt called to work for the Gospel and is hoping to utilise his operational experience to help position Resource for a period of sustained growth.
James has lived in London for almost all his life. He studied Politics at Bristol University and then had a varied career. He spent 25 years in the City working for a few large financial services groups including over 18 years at NatWest Bank. In 2009 James joined the Not for Profit Sector, first working for a Trade Association and then spent four years as Bursar of Hertford College Oxford.
James comes from a Jewish family but converted whilst at University and has been a committed Christian since then, currently serving in his local Church, St Johns West Ealing where he is on the PCC and supports his wife who runs Alpha. He also contributes to a couple of projects at Holy Trinity Brompton including the mentoring of an ex-offender.
James has three Children who are all in their 20’s. He loves watching a range of sport including his beloved football team QPR who currently languish in the Championship, and cricket at Lords. He also likes to attend films and the theatre with Mary. He is an avid reader and is fascinated, if confused, by UK and American politics.
