Get to know John Fell
I was born in Blackpool in 1947 into a Christian family that really showed the joy - and fun - of Christian living and fellowship. There was always lots of laughter about the house and I often accompanied my dad as he joined in leadership with other lay members of our Anglican Church in open air services on the beach.
I qualified as a chartered accountant in 1972 and was a partner in Neville Russell (now Mazars) until I ran my own practice (subsequently in partnership with my wife) in Southport and Lancaster for over 30 years until I retired in 2015.
I have been chair of governors at Southport FE & Sixth Form college for 3 years until 2018 and am also Trustee and Chair of Finance at Scargill Movement as well as trustee of a number of smaller charities.
I have been actively involved in our local church for many years as well as in the Liverpool diocese and was lay chair of the deanery for 12 years until 2019. I am currently churchwarden at Emmanuel Southport whilst it is interregnum.
My wife Ronnie and I are the proud parents of 8 children between us aged between 21 and 48 one of whom died in 1995 and we have 5 grandchildren. We enjoy our family times together walking on the beach and parks in Southport as well as our time in Cumbria and away on holiday.
I am looking forward to working with the trustees and with Kevin and the staff on the exciting developments God has planned for ReSource over the next few years.
